LASTS FOREVER : Victorinox Swiss Army Men's Original Leather Accented Watch #24220

I received a Swiss Army original on the last day of 8th grade nearly 19 years ago. I wore it everyday through camping and fishing trips and everyday life for 5 years. Battery lasted for all that time. I accidentally slammed it really hard against something and it got a scratch on the surface. I sent it in for repair, and they sent me an entire watch for just $35 (that was 14 years ago now and most of that charge was shipping and handling). I then lost this prized and cherished watch to a girlfriend four years later and promptly purchased an identical model.

So, I've worn my "new" watch nearly everyday for the last 10 years. I had to get the battery changed about six years ago. I'm an ornithologist who conducts research in the forests of Panama. I've tried digital and other analog watches for field work, but nothing has compared to the Swiss Army watch. Easy to read (high contrast on the face), date dial and second-hand very large and clear. Easy to clean and downright impenetrable to the elements. I once wore the band that came with the watch, but I soon switched to an EK velcro band for field work and everyday life. I'm now purchasing a Hadley-Roma metal link band for more everyday wear. But, I guarantee you that I'll still be using this watch in the forests until the day I die.

Classic and simple design. Looks even better when the the black border strip gets a bit dinged. This will definitely be the watch that I'll one day give to my kid.

So, that's 19 years' experience with this watch, and I have NO complaints.
